As the local labour disruption reaches its 10th week, Community Living Thunder Bay remains committed to reaching a fair and sustainable agreement. Despite misinformation suggesting otherwise, we want to be clear that CLTB is willing to resume bargaining locally at any time, either with or without the assistance of a mediator.
Our focus remains on meaningful discussions with the local bargaining committee with the goal of reaching an agreement that recognizes the valuable contributions of our employees while ensuring the long-term sustainability of the essential services relied upon by the people we support. As a publicly funded organization, any agreement must also be responsible and achievable within the provincial funding available to Community Living Thunder Bay.
This is essential to protecting the organization’s ability to continue delivering quality supports and services now and into the future. We remain hopeful that local bargaining can resume as soon as possible so that a fair and sustainable resolution can be reached for the benefit of our employees, the individuals we support, their families, and the broader community.
