Our Work

Community Living Thunder Bay

Community Living Thunder Bay aims to build a more inclusive community. We created these resources as part of the National Community Inclusion Project. The project asked communities across Canada to find ways to advance inclusivity.

An Inclusive School Culture

Inclusive School Culture fosters inclusivity. It motivates school communities to promote inclusive environments.

Inclusive School Culture helps all stakeholders feel like they belong and can take part in school life. Stakeholders include students, educators, parents and guardians, support staff, administrators.

Building Inclusive Communities

This book is designed to help community leaders develop a plan to nurture inclusivity in their towns, cities, or neighbourhoods. It targets those who might feel left out due to ability, race, culture, circumstance, gender, sexual orientation.

Supporting People with Intellectual Disabilities

This tool helps organizations that support people with an intellectual disability to be more inclusive. It does this by building culture, policies, systems, practices.

These factors lead to inclusion in both the organization and community. It also points out what an organization needs to build inclusive communities.
